Milan-based Rulen has closed its first capital increase, €1.8 million led by VC Partners, with Growth Engine, AME Ventures, Zest through its Magic Mind vehicle, Alpha Venture and industry business angels participating. The round comes with a rebrand from LexSA to Rulen.

Launched at the end of 2025 by CEO Simone Hong and CTO Claudio Cama, Rulen sells a vertical AI operating platform for tax and accounting firms. Rather than a research chatbot, it executes workflows end to end, from data collection to document production, integrates with the Agenzia delle Entrate's Cassetto Fiscale, and keeps the professional in control. The pitch rests on a shrinking profession: new registrations are down 27.3%.

Customers include law and tax firms, boutiques, roll-ups of practices and multinational groups; the customer base grew fivefold in three and a half months and the company joined the A-Road programme. About 10 hires are planned by year end.
