Mogul, an AI-driven platform for fractional real estate investing, has raised an oversubscribed $15.5 million Series A led by Draper Associates at a $126 million valuation, 55% above its initial $10 million target. Total funding is now more than $23.6 million.
Founded in 2022 by CEO Alex Blackwood and Joey Gumataotao, both formerly of the Goldman Sachs Real Estate Investment Group, Mogul lets individual investors buy into vetted single-family rental properties and receive monthly payouts. It is based in Washington, D.C.
AI across its supply process lets four people manage more than 150 properties, cutting time spent per property from 18 hours to two. The company says it was already cash-flow positive.
Draper Dragon, Avalanche Blizzard Fund, LAUNCH, Venture Togethers and Gaingels joined, with BlueChew co-founders Stephen Sullivan and Alex Jovanovich making the largest contribution.
