Samsung Wallet adds cross-border USDC transfers on Solana for 82 million US Galaxy devices
Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay will support stablecoins on Solana, the Solana Foundation announced.

Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay will support stablecoins on Solana, the Solana Foundation announced. From the last week of October, US users will be able to send money across borders in USDC from inside Samsung Wallet, with fiat on- and off-ramps converting to and from local currency.
The feature is built into the wallet rather than offered as a separate crypto app: users send a remittance from the same interface they use for cards, boarding passes and IDs, with Solana running behind the scenes. It launches on 82 million US Galaxy devices, with other markets to follow subject to local regulation.
Woncheol Chai, head of the Digital Wallet team at Samsung's Mobile eXperience business, said the aim is to let users move money faster without traditional crypto tools. Solana says it has processed more than $5.25 trillion in stablecoin volume in 2026.
The read: distribution has been the stablecoin bottleneck, and a default phone wallet is about as wide as distribution gets.
