MNT-Halan plans IPO of 20% of its Egyptian business on the Egyptian Exchange

MNT-Halan has announced its intention to float its Egyptian business, MNT Tech Holding for Financial Investments, on the Egyptian Exchange. Parent MNT Investments B.V. will sell 320 million existing shares, a 20% stake, in a fully secondary offering open to institutional and retail investors. No price range has been set yet.
Founded in 2018 by CEO Mounir Nakhla, MNT-Halan is Egypt's first fintech unicorn. It offers lending and payments through the Halan app and a nationwide physical network. Its operations in Türkiye, Pakistan and the UAE stay outside the listing, and the wider group remains private.
The group was valued at $1.4 billion in June, after the first tranche of a funding round of more than $70 million.
The offering is expected to complete in October, subject to regulatory approvals.
