Meow has raised a $31.6 million Series B led by Stifel Financial, with participation from Archetype, taking total funding past $60 million after a $5 million seed and a $22 million Series A.
Founded in 2021 by CEO Brandon Arvanaghi and CTO Bryce Crawford, Meow provides business banking and treasury software to startups and investment funds: checking, cards, payments, bill pay, expense management, stablecoin payments and what the company calls agentic infrastructure. It says it holds billions in assets on the platform and is profitable.
The round is a strategic investment and a partnership. Stifel Bank will offer a white-label version of Meow's platform to its commercial banking clients, starting with venture and fund banking, with onboarding expected in early 2027. Stifel's venture and fund banking deposits have grown almost six-fold since September 2023 to more than $10 billion across 500 high-growth companies and 250 funds.
The read: a bank buying the front end from the fintech it competes with, so its balance sheet keeps the deposits.
