KCB Bank Tanzania has partnered with PayPal to integrate PayPal services into the KCB Mobile App, which the bank's release presents as a first for a bank in Tanzania.

Customers will be able to create or link a PayPal account in the app, receive international payments, make eligible global payments wherever PayPal is accepted, and withdraw PayPal balances into their KCB accounts in Tanzanian shillings.

The target users are freelancers, entrepreneurs, SMEs, tourism operators and content creators who work with clients abroad. Josina Njambi, Head of Digital Financial Services at KCB Bank Tanzania, said the partnership connects Tanzanians more seamlessly to the global digital economy. The launch complements the bank's recently launched Ina-Make Cents campaign.
