Anthropic adds personal finance tracking to Claude in US beta

Anthropic has added a Personal Finance feature to Claude, in beta for Pro, Max and Ultra subscribers in the United States. Users connect bank accounts and credit cards through Plaid and can ask where their money goes and how much is left before payday.
Claude groups expenses into categories, compares spending with prior months, flags duplicate charges and unexpected fees, and highlights bills that have risen. Outputs include spending charts, payment calendars and customisable dashboards. It can see balances, credit limits and up to two years of transaction history.
The integration is read-only: Claude cannot move money, manage accounts or invest. Personal Finance conversations are not used to train models, and users can disconnect accounts at any time. Anthropic says the feature gives no investment advice and is exploring ways to work with licensed institutions such as banks and wealth managers.
