Energetic Insurance is a US insurtech that underwrites credit risk for clean energy projects. Its insurance protects solar developers and their financiers against the risk that a commercial customer stops paying under a long-term power purchase agreement, which makes projects for mid-sized businesses, municipalities and non-profits easier to finance than when they depend on the offtaker's own credit rating.
