Z_One Fund reaches a first close of more than €35M with CDP Venture Capital, Lazio Innova and Zest

Z_One Fund, the venture capital fund managed by Eureka! Venture SGR, has started its investment period with a first close of more than €35 million. Investors include CDP Venture Capital SGR, Zest, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and other private investors, and Lazio Innova through a parallel fund for investments focused on Lazio.
The fund backs pre-seed and seed startups in AI applications and urbantech, with a target of €55 million and up to 100 investments. Initial tickets go up to €200,000, with follow-ons up to €1 million, mainly in Italy. Key people are Luigi Capello, Giulio Montoli and Giulia Fazzini. Zest is the sponsor and first private investor, with a €5 million commitment.
Z_One says it addresses the shortage of institutional capital in the earliest stages of Italy's startup market.
