The FSE Group has launched the Future London Growth Fund, a debt fund that expects to lend more than £70 million to scale-ups across London's 32 boroughs and the City. Loans run from £1 million to £3 million, filling the gap between bank lending and larger venture debt deals, for companies with strong traction that may not yet be profitable.
The British Business Bank committed £20 million as cornerstone investor, alongside Funding London, the Mayor of London's investment arm, through its entity GLIF Limited. The fund aims to back 40 to 50 businesses and recycle capital as loans are repaid.
FSE has managed the £66 million debt portion of the Greater London Investment Fund since 2019. CEO Julie Silvester leads the firm; Kala Desai heads its London funds.
