Revolut has begun offering unsecured personal loans to existing UK customers, from £2,000 to £25,000 over one to five years, with no fees and an interest rate set on each applicant's circumstances and credit history. Funds land in the Revolut account instantly after approval.
Eligibility requires a UK address, an account opened more than 30 days ago, annual income above £12,000, employment and a clean credit record. The product is being rolled out progressively, so availability varies; customers check eligibility by searching for personal loans in the app.
Founded in 2015 by CEO Nik Storonsky, Revolut counts more than 75 million customers worldwide and already offers personal loans in several EU markets through Revolut Bank UAB, in Ireland and in Australia. UK lending comes as the company works through the mobilisation phase of its UK banking licence.
