Ravical has raised $17 million in a seed round led by MMC Ventures. Existing backers Lakestar and Pitchdrive took part, as did new investor Shapers. The funding will deepen its presence in the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, extend the European roll-out and support a US launch.
Ravical builds an AI platform that accounting and tax firms use to run their operations. It captures how a firm's best performers work and turns that into a shared method the AI applies across the firm's clients. More than 100 accounting firms across Europe build on it.
CEO Joris Van Der Gucht previously co-founded Silverfin. He leads the company with CTO Ken Bastiaensen and CPO Benjamin Vandermarliere.
Ravical's own research finds that 70% of UK SMEs follow AI-generated advice without checking with their accountant first.
