Copenhagen-based Plinto has raised €2.9 million in a pre-seed round from People Ventures and Emblem to develop its AI transaction-monitoring platform, grow its enterprise customer base and take first steps abroad.
Founded in early 2025 by CEO Nermina Suljevic, Jakob Nielsen and Sebastian Rehnby, Plinto builds AI agents that check every financial transaction against contracts, budgets and internal policies, investigate discrepancies and collect evidence. When something is wrong the agents act: they contact suppliers about incorrect invoices, request credit notes or prepare corrections for approval. The product plugs into ERP systems, documents, banking systems and tools such as Slack and Microsoft Teams.
Plinto has paying customers and pilots in logistics, real estate, facility services and food production; in one area of a customer's business its agents found around 430 discrepancies a month.
