Oraseya Capital, the venture arm of Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), has doubled its fund from AED500 million to AED1 billion, about $272 million, less than three years after launch.

DIEZ also doubled Oraseya's maximum cheque from $3 million to $6 million and extended its mandate beyond Series B. The fund can now back companies of strategic relevance to the UAE wherever they are headquartered, not only those based in or expanding to Dubai.

Oraseya has made 66 active investments since November 2023, averages about 25 deals a year and says it has been the UAE's most active investor by deal count for three consecutive years. Fintech and digital assets are one of its three priority sectors, alongside healthcare and longevity, and AI.
