Barcelona's Masia has closed its €18 million debut fund to invest in early-stage AI and frontier tech companies with a Barcelona connection. More than 70 limited partners backed it, including technology founders, executives and two institutional investors.

Portfolio company Biorce raised a $52 million Series A this year, and Prosper raised $30 million led by a16z.

Masia House is a 1,000 m² space across four floors in the Gràcia neighbourhood, with workspaces, meeting rooms and accommodation for visiting investors. The team has grown to seven. Carlos Trenchs is co-founder and Chairman; Pepe Borrell is Founding Partner.
