Deblock extends its card round-up to physical gold
Deblock has added gold to its automatic round-up.

Deblock has added gold to its automatic round-up. Every card payment is rounded up to the next euro and the difference is invested in Bitcoin or in physical gold, as the user chooses. A €2.40 coffee buys €0.60 of either, at no extra cost, and a Boost option adds a fixed amount to each transaction.
The Bitcoin version launched in May and has generated several million euros in purchases, according to the company. Gold bought this way is backed by certified, allocated physical metal. Deblock already sells gold, silver, palladium and platinum from €1 with no custody fees.
The French company combines a current account with a non-custodial crypto wallet. It is an e-money institution regulated by the Banque de France and holds a MiCA licence from the AMF. Jean Meyer is co-founder and CEO.
Gold round-ups are live in the app from 5 November.
