The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Abu Dhabi Global Market has granted a Financial Services Permission to Animoca Asset Management (AD) Limited, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands. The permission allows the entity to manage collective investment funds in or from ADGM.

Animoca says the permission broadens its services for institutional clients and supports its Middle East expansion, as part of plans to build blockchain infrastructure for institutions and link traditional financial institutions to decentralised networks.

Minh Do, Senior Executive Officer and Director at Animoca Asset Management, said the permission lets it manage collective investment funds under a robust regulatory framework. Arvind Ramamurthy, Chief Market Development Officer at ADGM, said the expansion strengthens the connections between institutional capital and digital assets. No fund size or timeline was given.
