Revolut sets up Revolut Ventures to bring venture capital to retail investors

Revolut has established Revolut Ventures in partnership with Carne Group, Europe’s largest third-party management company. Launch is planned for 2027.

The platform will be run by Revolut and integrated into its app. Eligible customers will be able to take positions in private tech companies alongside their existing portfolios of US and EEA stocks, ETFs, money market funds, bonds and private market funds.

The rationale is in the numbers. The average age of a company at IPO rose from 6.9 years in 2014 to 11 years in 2025. US listed companies fell from 7,000 in 2000 to 3,900 in 2025. More value is created before a company goes public, and that access has largely been reserved for institutions and ultra-high-net-worth investors.

Revolut Ventures follows the launch of Private Markets in selected EEA jurisdictions in July 2026. Revolut notes that these investments are significantly less liquid than listed equities and carry a substantial risk of capital loss.

Rolandas Juteika, Head of Wealth and Trading (EEA), described it as removing one of the last barriers in wealth management: retail exclusion from unlisted companies.
