Predicate has raised an $8 million Series A led by Blockchain Capital, with Paxos, 1kx and Tribe Capital participating. Total funding is now about $15 million, including a $7 million seed round in 2024.

Founded in 2023 by CEO Nikhil Raghuveera and Jesse Sawa, Predicate embeds compliance policy controls into digital assets at the smart-contract level, so a token can block or freeze activity involving sanctioned or high-risk addresses. Policies can be updated as rules change. Customers include Paxos Labs and MoneyGram.

The company says it has screened more than $1 billion in transaction volume, evaluated over 6 million transactions against customer policies and blocked more than 100,000 non-compliant ones.
