LO:TECH, a London-based capital markets firm, has raised a $12 million Series A led by MMC. Existing investors Faction and 13 Books Capital took part, alongside Atka. Total funding and valuation were not disclosed.

The company builds trading infrastructure for markets that run around the clock, including onchain markets, across traditional finance, digital assets and prediction markets. It offers liquidity and execution services to institutional clients, and the execution services were newly launched. Tim Meggs is CEO and co-founder and Marcus Horsley is CTO and co-founder.

The money goes to expansion into the US and Asia-Pacific, with planned offices in New York and Singapore, to growing the execution services, and to seeking regulatory authorisations in new markets, including US licensing options. No customer figures were given.
