Airwallex renews its McLaren Racing partnership and becomes the F1 team's Official AI Finance Partner from 2027

Airwallex has renewed and expanded its partnership with McLaren Racing and will become the Official AI Finance Partner of the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team from January 2027. The deal was announced at Airwallex's Shift event in London; no financial terms were given.

The relationship dates to February 2024, when Airwallex began supporting McLaren's global financial operations with cross-border payments and treasury management, including supplier payments across markets. It will keep powering McLaren's digital merchandise platform, and its branding moves onto team uniform sleeves from 2027 while staying on the cars and drivers' overalls.

The renewal follows Airwallex's $320 million Series H in June 2026 at an $11 billion valuation, raised to build AI-native finance software: T:0, which automates bookkeeping, forecasting, tax and compliance, and Airi, a wallet for payments delegated to AI agents.
